Stephen King’s The Reach to get movie adaptation
Yet another Stephen King adaptation looks to be in the works, with buyers set to find out more about a potential adaptation of The Reach at this year’s Cannes festival…
I get it why people hate Lori for not being able to make up her mind but she is far from being a whore. In my opinion, she is just one confused woman. It is clear that she does not intend to cheat on Rick but once she has developed some feelings for Shane, it is not easy to act like nothing happened. Actually, I think the fact that she reveals her true feelings for Shane makes me see her as a brave character even. Plus, her getting mad learning that her husband’s murder of Shane is simply realistic. I know she is the one asking Rick to do something but to her the idea of murdering someone she knows is still unacceptable. To me, it seems like she has no idea really what she has asked for.
And like Rick, she is trying to maintain some sense of order in this messy world and trying to do the tasks generally belonging to a wife is one way to do it. I don’t think she is sexist in any way. She only holds on to it because she tries to create the world she once knew. I mean, Rick is doing the same thing, trying to maintain the group’s morality. People are just being too sensitive when it comes to gender issues.
Lori is a very interesting character. She is nowhere near perfect, just like every character in this show. I just hope people have more sympathy for her.
THINGS WE’LL NEVER GET THE CHANCE TO SEE ON THE WALKING DEAD:
I love these tender Carl/Sophia moments in the comics. It’s that little bit of innocence to remind the readers that there is still some good in the world, although, there hasn’t been much of it lately. This scene of them holding hands is particularly one of my favorites. I love Sophia’s perspective. I hope we get to see these two group up, fall in love, get married, and have babies. But, we’ll never get the chance to on the show :(
